When the strings vibrate, it can make a ringing sound from your racket when you hit the ball. If the sound does not sound right, it is recommended that you apply a shock absorber.

Rules: the official rules of tennis allow players to use shock absorbers or vibration dampeners as long as they are properly installed. These devices must be placed above the upper crossbar or below the lower crossbar, according to the international rules of the Tennis Federation. They may touch the outside of the strings, but are not allowed on the inner part of the stringbed - under the top crossbar or over the bottom crossbar.
