The Donnay Formula 100 Hexa International has the same specifications as the best-selling Donnay Formula Hexa 100. The difference is that the International model has a simpler cosmetic design (matte black) which allows the International to be sold at a lower price than the original Hexa 100. It is worth clarifying that the International has exactly the same good playing characteristics as the original Hexa 100.
Formula 100 Hexa International is a racket that is in the same class as Babolat's Pure Drive. They have quite similar specifications such as shape, head size, string pattern, weight and balance. The main difference is in the frame where the Donnay Formula is based on Hexa Xenecore technology, which means that the racket frame is made of xenecore (1.5 times stronger than graphite) and filled with six layers (hexa) of a vibration-damping material. This provides optimal comfort and playing feel as well as less vibration load on the arm and shoulders.
With the Donnay Formula 100 Hexa International, Xenecore Tennis goes the opposite way of most racket producers with a softer racket. The flex (ra) on this racket is 57 which means it is much less stressful on the arm to play with. The standard for rackets in this genre is a flex of +/- 70. The disadvantage of a softer racket is normally less power, but due to the Formula Hexa construction with full core, this racket still provides sufficient power.
